FASTRAK® set the standard in electromagnetic tracking when it was released over 30 years ago and remains a reliable tracker to date. With its many updates over the years, it is still known for its real-time, 6DOF tracking. Because of its proven track record, FASTRAK remains a top choice for those within the field of research and academia.
Fastrak
The trusted, legendary tracker for scientific research
Researched and proven over the years
FASTRAK’s long history makes it the perfect choice for scientists and academics. It’s been tested time and time again, proving itself in the sphere of research. Those looking to replicate historical findings or those who are trying to pave the way using motion tracking technology can trust their data will remain safe, accurate, and precise when using FASTRAK.
HOW IT WORKS
Using AC electromagnetic technology, FASTRAK can deliver position and orientation data with virtually no latency. The source emits an electromagnetic field and sensors within that field can be tracked, translating to motion data through the system electronics unit. No user calibration is required for setting up and each system can handle up to four sensors.
All in one 3D digitizer
FASTRAK works great in electromagnetic tracking, but did you know it is also designed for 3D digitizing tasks? We offer a digitizing stylus for FASTRAK, making it one of the most accurate and easy-to-use digitizers on the market. With a latency rate of 4 milliseconds and updates as fast as 120Hz, FASTRAK is known globally for being reliable and repeatable.
