Hand and Finger Trackers

Real-Time hand and finger tracking

Overview

Hand and finger tracking is used in a wide variety of applications. Whether you need to track fingers for a VR application, biomechanics, research, or training and simulation, our tracking systems offer flexibility and easy set up. Polhemus finger tracking sensors deliver full six degrees of freedom (6DOF), measuring both position and orientation motion data.

Because line-of-sight is not required, users have no data interruption, and our robust systems deliver a steady stream of continuous data. Whether you need a tetherless option to move around freely in a large space, or you need hand and finger tracking in a more confined area, we offer a variety of tracking systems that are compatible with our sensors.

Why We're a Top Choice for Hand and Finger Tracking:

Easy system set up - No calibration required
Sensors track through gloves
Tracks in all lighting conditions
No line-of-sight occlusion limitations

Our tiny, lightweight Micro sensors are designed to attach easily to fingers using our mount kit. Micro Mounts adhere firmly to skin and the sensors slide easily in and out of the mounts.

Do you need to track one finger, two fingers, or all ten? Our systems can accommodate various needs and allows you to scale up, and add sensors, as needed.

Products

Finger Tracking Sensors

The small but powerful Micro Sensor 1.8™ is a tiny motion tracking sensor that measures 1.8mm in outer diameter. They track in full 6DOF, capturing both position and orientation motion, and are ideal for attaching directly to fingers.

Hand Tracking Sensors

We offer a variety of sensors to meet a wide array of tracking application needs. All sensors are 6DOF and fully embeddable, with no line-of-sight requirements.

VIPER™

Sensors attach to your object of interest - the tracker drives how they perform.

VIPER is our fastest and most accurate tracker, with update rates as high as 960Hz. Mix and match up to 16 sensors and measure their motion simultaneously.
