Since the system electronics unit (hub) moves with you, there’s no need to remain confined to one space – you can go anywhere! There are several configurations available to scale your tracking area and expand coverage.
Additionally, G4 is compatible with our Standard and Micro Sensors, making it ideal for applications that require smaller sensors for tracking. You can also connect G4 to a 3D digitizing probe and enjoy complete flexibility in your project, perfect for those with large-scale or dynamic environments.
HOW IT WORKS
G4 is a portable system that's easy to set up, using a source that emits an electromagnetic field. Finely tuned sensors withing the magnetic field are tracked in full 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF), measuring both position and orientation motion at sub-millimeter accuracy.
Due to the nature of the technology, there is no line-of-sight requirement for continuous tracking. The motion data transports directly to your computer through a proprietary RF link. G4 tracks people and objects through clothes, gloves, and walls, and does not require any special lighting conditions.
EXPAND & EVOLVE
Each G4 hub can track up to three sensors, with an update rate of 120Hz each. The update rate is not impacted by adding additional sensors. Track additional points of interest by increasing the number of hubs (up to nine); expand the tracking range by adding more sources (up to eight).
Since the G4 hub can move freely, users do not have to remain restricted to a set distance determined by the system electronics unit. Instead, users can track motion without any inhibitions – making it the perfect choice for applications that require a dynamic range of motion.
